When I was in my early 50s, I was not able to work anymore because I had trouble walking. They decided I needed to have my hip replaced. During the testing they discovered I had had a heart attack earlier.
Until my health issues started, I worked all my life. It took me forever to get approved for Social Security Disability Insurance, but I was able to get on Medicaid right away. I have been on Medicaid for 13 years. I am also on Medicare now.
Without Medicaid my medical bills would be astronomical. In addition to having my hip replaced, I’ve had three heart attacks and had three stents put in since I have been on Medicaid. I am also taking a lot of medicine. I am not alone. For anyone who is disabled or
has serious health issues they need Medicaid to pay their bills because the costs are crazy.
